Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 October 2026
Introduction
Duskpix ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service.
Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. We may also collect payment information when you purchase credits.
If you choose to sign in with Google, Google will know that you use Duskpix, and Google sends us your name, email address and a link to your Google profile picture, so we can create your account.
Images and Projects
We collect and process the images you upload to our platform for editing purposes. We also store your project data and editing history.
Images are stored in Australia and retained for 12 months from a project's last upload or edit, then permanently deleted. That applies to originals and edited versions alike. We email you approximately 30 days before deletion. If you delete your account, your images are deleted as part of that process rather than waiting out the 12 months.
To make an edit we send the photo to our AI provider, in the United States. It travels over an encrypted connection, and that provider's API terms state that data sent through the API is not used to train their models. The copy we keep is the one in Australia.
Who else handles your information
We use a small number of companies to run Duskpix, and each of them sees only what it needs to:
- Our database and storage provider, for your account, your projects and your images. This is the copy that lives in Australia, in that provider's Sydney region.
- Our AI provider, in the United States, to make the edits.
- A second AI provider, for two smaller features: listing the furniture in a staged room, and suggesting a detail shot. Each sends the photo to that provider when you use it, under its own terms, and it may be handled outside Australia.
- Our payment provider, to take payments. It receives your email address, and your card details go straight to it and never reach us.
- Our email provider, to send you email. It receives your email address and the message. Our emails carry a small tracking image and tracked links, so we can tell whether an email was opened or a link followed. We use that only to see which emails are useful.
- A messaging service, to carry support messages, as described below.
Duskpix itself runs in Singapore, the closest region available to Australia. Your images pass through it on their way to and from the editor.
Put together, that is three countries: Australia, where your account, your projects and your photos are stored; Singapore, where Duskpix itself runs; and the United States, where edits, payments and email are handled. Where one of the companies above may handle something somewhere else, we have said so.
Notifications and referrals
If you switch on notifications, your browser gives us an address it can be reached at, the keys needed to encrypt a message to it, and a line naming the browser and device it came from. We store those so we can tell you when an edit is finished or when support has replied. Delivering a notification means handing it to the push service your browser uses, which is Apple's, Google's or Mozilla's depending on your device. Turning notifications off removes the address.
If you share a referral link, we store the code and a record of who signed up with it, so the credits reach the right accounts.
Usage Data
We use your IP address to limit how often the free trial on our home page can be run. That check happens in memory and the address is not stored.
We keep our own record of the steps people take with the service: a free demo run, a demo edit emailed, an account opened, an edit completed or failed, a purchase. Each entry holds the step, the time, which tool was used and, for signed-in accounts, your account id. It never holds a photo, an address or anything you typed. We use it to see where people get stuck and what is worth improving, and it stays on our own systems.
If you ask for your free demo edit by email, we send it to the address you give us, attached, with a link to open an account. We keep that address and when you gave it, and we may write to you about Duskpix once or twice more. Reply to any of those emails to stop, and we will. The photo itself is sent and not kept.
If a link that brought you here carried campaign labels, such as the name of the ad it belonged to, the entries for a free demo run and for opening your account also record the first such labels, and your account keeps a copy from the moment you open it. If the link carried none, they record where you came from instead: the site that linked here, a search engine, or the Facebook or Instagram app. They describe the link, not you, and they tell us which campaigns and sites lead to accounts.
While analytics cookies are on, Google Analytics records which pages were visited and how people arrived. We use it to work out what to improve. It is not linked to your account, and once you turn it off it does not run at all. Our Cookie Policy covers this and how to change your answer at any time.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide and maintain our service
- Process your images and edits
- Process payments and maintain billing records
- Communicate with you about our service
- Improve our service and develop new features
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Support Messages
Messages you send us through Contact support in the app are stored with your account in Australia, along with any screenshots you attach. So that we can answer quickly, a copy of each message is relayed to our team through a messaging service, and our reply is written there and delivered back into the app. You are told about a reply by a notification if you have them switched on, or by email to your account address. That service handles the relayed copy under its own terms and may store it outside Australia.
Where we offer a WhatsApp contact, using it is optional. Messages you send that way are handled by WhatsApp (Meta Platforms) under its own terms and privacy policy, and may be stored outside Australia. We use WhatsApp only to answer questions you send us: we do not send marketing through it, and we do not add your number to any list. Please do not send property photos through the chat. Upload them in the editor, where they are stored in Australia as described above.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics. In the United Kingdom and Europe it is not loaded until you accept it: no request is made to Google and no cookie is set. Everywhere else, including Australia, it runs from your first visit, and our Cookie Policy page is where you turn it off. Declining or turning it off costs you nothing: every part of Duskpix works the same either way.
When it is switched on, Google processes that data under its own privacy policy, and it may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not use it for advertising of any kind. You can change your mind whenever you like, from our Cookie Policy page, and we remove its cookies when you do.
Advertising measurement
While analytics and advertising cookies are on (asked first in the United Kingdom and Europe, on from your first visit everywhere else), Meta’s pixel records when a browser that saw one of our Facebook or Instagram ads tries the demo, opens an account or buys credits. Our server also tells Meta when you open an account or pay, sending the pixel’s cookie identifiers, your browser type, the amount paid and, at signup, the internet address you used at that moment, which we do not keep. We never send Meta your name, email address or anything you type, and send nothing once you turn them off. Meta may process this data outside Australia, including in the United States.
Your Data Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and everything in it, from Account settings. Your projects, your photos and any credits still on the account go with it, and an active subscription is cancelled.
- Export your data
- Opt out of marketing communications
