Boundary lines

Show buyers the block, not the whole street.

Outline the lot on your drone or aerial photo, dim the neighbours and add the land size. The line is drawn over your photo, never generated, and it is free on every photo.

The lot, outlined

A real Duskpix boundary: corners tapped on the aerial, the surrounds dimmed.

How it works

Upload the aerial

Your drone shot, or any photo taken from above. Straight from your phone at the property, or from your camera roll.

Tap the corners

Tap three or more corners of the lot, drag any of them into place, then Apply boundary. Add the land size if you want it on the image.

Copy the wording, download

Duskpix hands you the indicative boundary wording to paste into the listing. Save the photo to your camera roll on a phone, or as a zip on a desktop.

What it costs

A boundary is drawn on your photo rather than generated, so it never uses a credit, on any plan or on the free account. The same goes for pins, labels, corrections and your watermark.

Free

AI edits such as twilight or staging are one credit each. Top-ups from A$10 for 10 photos, or a plan from A$29 a month. A failed edit refunds itself.

Why the aerial needs a line on it

A drone shot shows the street, the neighbours and the trees as clearly as the property itself. Without a line, a buyer scrolling past on a phone cannot tell which roof is for sale or where the land stops.

An outline answers both at a glance, which is why it has become standard on acreage, corner blocks, subdivisions and anything where the land is part of the price. Dimming the surroundings keeps the neighbourhood in context and puts the eye on the lot.

Drawn by you, not by AI

The boundary is a line laid over your photo exactly where you put it. Nothing in the picture is regenerated: the house, the fences and the neighbours stay exactly as shot. That is also why it costs nothing.

Choose a solid, dashed, dotted or dash dot line in four weights from hairline to bold. Pick your agency once from 57 Australian agencies, or set your own colour and font, and every boundary, pin and label you draw comes out matching.

Do your AI edits first, such as a twilight sky or a greener lawn, and draw the boundary last, so no image model ever redraws your line.

Keep the line honest

A boundary on a listing photo is a claim about what the buyer is getting. Traced by eye from an aerial it is an estimate however carefully it is done, and Australian Consumer Law prohibits misleading or deceptive conduct. Check the line against your state’s online cadastral map and the registered plan before you publish.

Duskpix prints “Indicative boundaries only” in the top corner by default, so the image cannot be mistaken for a survey when it is seen away from the listing, and the land size carries “(approx.)” unless you turn it off. When you draw the line, it also offers this wording to copy into the listing: “The boundary shown is indicative only. It has been marked for illustrative purposes, is not to scale and is not a survey. Prospective purchasers should rely on the registered plan of survey and make their own enquiries.”

Common questions

How do I add boundary lines to a drone photo?

Upload the aerial to a Duskpix project and open Boundary. Tap three or more corners of the lot, drag them into place, and tap Apply boundary. It works on your phone at the property or on a desktop.

Does drawing a boundary use a credit?

No. Boundary, Pins, Labels, Corrections and Watermark are drawn on your photo rather than generated, so they are free on every photo. Only AI edits such as staging or twilight use a credit.

Can I show the land size on the photo?

Yes. Type it in square metres, hectares or acres, or as your own text, and drag it into place on the lot. It carries “(approx.)” under the figure unless you turn that off.

Is it legal to put boundary lines on a listing photo?

Yes, as long as it does not mislead. Mark it as indicative, as Duskpix does in the corner of the photo by default, put the disclaimer in the listing text, and check the line against the title plan before you publish.

Can the line match my agency’s colours?

Yes. Choose your agency from 57 Australian agencies, or set your own colour and font. Line type, weight and colour are saved to your account, so every boundary you draw matches.

Should I edit the photo before or after drawing the boundary?

Before. Do the AI edits first, such as a twilight sky or lawn repair, then draw the boundary last so the line stays exactly where you put it.
